Take a look at our newest member down at our bagging plant in Cardiff docks. We are now running 2 bulk hoppers and 1 pallet line. With this investment, we are aiming to improve handling time, efficiency and increasing our daily workload to accommodate this busy time. Long Rake Spar continue to grow, and this new investment expands our capacity but critically it allows us to be flexible on location. Within just two days the new bagging unit can be deployed at one of our four production sites to allow us to be nimble in responding to customer needs. We continue to innovate with products, technology, and taking a smart approach to the future of the business. I am delighted to see this new mobile bagging unit come online and strengthen the capabilities of Long Rake Spar as a whole.

The installation went smoothly from start to finish and the bagger was delivered on time and within budget. This system is very user friendly and the Bulk Automation engineers were very helpful throughout the commissioning and training of our operators. The BAB-180 bulk bagging system more than meets our expectations and performance requirements, we are now able to increase our output safe in the knowledge that we are able to meet customer demand. Our previous manual palletising system was incredibly labour intensive and we often had operators waiting around for the next batch as obviously they had to be there ready to stack the bags when they arrived. Installing the new system has enabled us to relocate our staff to other areas in the company. The Bulk Automation team had the line installed within a couple of days without any interruption to our day to day production which was ideal, the machine is doing a great job and we’re very pleased with it.

On the rare occasion a service engineer has been required Bulk Automation has never failed to get the right engineer to us within 48 hours – a second visit has never been necessary.”

When Maen Karne made the decision to invest in new equipment, Bulk Automation was our preferred supplier. Their equipment is top quality and always delivered/installed on time, the installation went smoothly with minimal disruption to the rest of the plant.

Bulk Automation installed our BAF600-M without any disruption to our day to day production. Their commissioning engineers provided excellent operator training for our team and the support they provided following the install was fantastic.
The new BAF600-M line has allowed us to increase our productivity and expand our business as required, the easy to use HMI allows our operators to change products easily and quickly.
The team from Bulk Automation removed our old Robot and replaced it with a reconditioned ABB palletising robot while also completing full control system upgrade.
The new system makes operation the system much simpler and the PRO STACK addition on the robot allows us to tweak the robot stacking pattern via the HMI with ease.
