CONTAINERISED BAGGING PLANT
Aggregate Automatic Bagging

Bulk Automation proudly continues supplying one of our long-standing customers, Maen Karne, with advanced bagging systems. As the South West’s leading independent supplier of bagged and loose aggregate across multiple sites, they rely on us to provide high-quality bagging and palletising equipment.

Over the years, Maen Karne acquired several packing lines. Their most recent addition is our flagship BAC-600M, a semi-automatic, pre-built mobile bagging system housed in a shipping container. This modular system adapts to meet all customer requirements. It includes a 12-ton infeed hopper with conveyor, a bag clamp with integrated weighing, a continuous heat sealer, and bag preparation conveyors. Together, these components deliver each bag perfectly to the robot palletiser.

The system also features automatic pallet dispensing and pallet conveying, which lets operators load pallets seamlessly without intervention. Filled pallets exit through a speed door onto free-running conveyors, ready for offloading.

The container includes its own compressor to supply the correct air pressure and a heating system to keep operators comfortable. The system handles many product types and sack weights, from 5 kg to 50 kg, and changeovers happen quickly and easily.

“When Maen Karne made the decision to invest in new equipment, Bulk Automation was our preferred supplier. Their equipment is top quality and always delivered/installed on time, the installation went smoothly with minimal disruption to the rest of the plant. As with most businesses, Service and support is essential to us as and Bulk Automation appreciate the importance of this by investing in their engineers enabling them to either help us remotely or if needed, get to us within just a few hours should we have a problem.”
