Holcim Group – Express Asphalt Installs Second BAC-600M Mobile Packaging Unit Following Exceptional Performance

Bulk Automation Ltd is proud to announce that Express Asphalt has expanded its packaging operations by installing a second BAC-600M Mobile Packaging Unit. This expansion follows the strong performance of their first BAC-600M line, installed in 2023, which quickly improved packaging efficiency and reliability.

Express Asphalt chose to invest in a second unit because they were highly satisfied with the system’s output, flexibility, and consistency. The original mobile packaging line streamlined operations, enhanced throughput, and maintained a compact footprint. Building on this success, the second BAC-600M will further increase production capacity and support growing business demand.

The BAC-600M is a fully containerised 40ft mobile packaging system, ideal for businesses with limited space but high productivity requirements. Furthermore, it suits applications in industries such as aggregates, rock salt, wood pellets, fertilizers, and animal feed. The unit delivers 500–700 bags per hour with precision and reliability, helping businesses maintain smooth, high-volume operations.

Each BAC-600M features Bulk Automation’s trusted 600-B series bag filling and handling equipment, paired with an ABB robotic palletiser to automate the end-of-line process. Specifically designed for open-mouth bagging, the system combines durability, efficiency, and ease of use. As a result, businesses can maintain high output while minimising operator intervention.
